The thrill of the chase. For as long as I can remember, the moment I connected with a piece of clothing has been magical. The process was always the same….see an item - in a shop window, in a magazine, on a person - and bang! the ideas would start to flow. I knew how I was going to wear it, where I would wear it and how it would make me feel. The thrill of the chase is what led me to Melbourne to the retail floor, to study fashion design and ultimately end up working for some of Australia's biggest women's fashion retailers. 20 years later this is still how I react to a piece of clothing.
I started HI LO because I wanted to create a brand that I wanted to work for. Tired and frustrated with the way large retailers were designing, manufacturing and selling clothing, I decided to launch a brand focused on creating premium items in very small runs (less than 100 units), priced without retail mark ups.
For HI LO, it was extremely important to me that the pieces were signature in style. Modern classics that would infuse your wardrobe, and create a uniform unique to your point of view. Pieces that could be worn season upon season, and styled with existing wardrobe classics and trend pieces for endless outfits.
And now, on the eve of our 5th birthday, I’m excited to announce the next chapter: FOUND by HI LO. A hand-selected edit, restored and re-imagined into one-off exclusives.
FOUND was created with a focus on provenance and quality. We wanted to expand our collection by sourcing one-off pieces from premium sellers in Australia, the USA and Europe, then transforming them into modern classics. Like an unworn vintage Trench coat, manufactured in London and altered to elevate the fit and finish, and the perfect oversized Levi's denim shirt.
Each FOUND piece has been quality assured to ensure fabrication, make and finish are to our highest standards, individually fitted and altered (we've listed the specific changes listed on each product), labelled and Green Earth dry-cleaned in preparation for their new homes.
These pieces are sure to be snapped up quickly, so register your interest to receive first access to the collection when it launches on 04.03.2022.
